Pasta Dinner; 'Breast Health' Talk

Here are five things you should know about for today in Barrington.

Holy Angels church hosts another pasta dinner today starting at 4 pm in the lower level of the church at 341 Maple Ave. Call 401-245-7743 for tickets or get them at the parish office.

Dr. Jennifer Gass, chief of surgery at the Program in Women's Oncology/Breast Health Center, Women & Infants, speaks in the Barrington Senior Center at 7 pm on “Achieving Breast Health.”

The Barrington library auditorium shows at 7 pm, “District 9,” a highly acclaimed but under-released film that brings science fiction to a new level. An extraterrestrial race that is forced to live in slum-like conditions in South Africa suddenly finds a kindred spirit who is exposed to their biotechnology.

Thursday night Zumba classes at  426 Fitness, 426 Metacom Ave, Warren, will benefit the Warren Animal Shelter, which cares for and houses Barrington strays and pets.  Donations are collected during the free classes that start at 7 pm.

Margie Reed hosts a story hour for children every Thursday at 10 am at Barrington Books in the Barrington Shopping Plaza.
