Earth Day Cleanup Targets Six Barrington Spots on Saturday

Conservation Commission looking for volunteers to help clean up natural and conservation areas all over town.

Barrington’s annual Earth Day cleanup is Saturday, April 16.

The Conservation Commission is looking for plenty of volunteers to gather litter and debris left behind during a cold and snowy winter. 

Six locations have been targeted for cleanups:

  • and Brickyard Pond
  • Prince’s Pond Conservation Area
  • St. Andrew’s Field
  • Hampden Meadows Greenway

Lawn and garbage bags will be provided. Dress to get dirty and bring your own garden or work gloves and tools you think you might need.

Volunteers are to meet behind the Town Hall at 9 am for maps and garbage bags. Crews will spread out across town until around 1 pm.

Trucks arranged by the Department of Public Works will pick up the garbage bags at designated spots at each site by the end of the day.
