'Carjacked' Reveals Our Affair With Autos

Find out about our passion for cars at Barrington library; former ambassador Andrew Young speaks at RWU.

Our love affair with cars and our dependence on them is the focus of a Barrington library event , at 7 pm with Brown University anthropologist Catherine Lutz, who wrote the book, Carjacked: The Culture of the Automobile and Its Effect on Our Lives.

Former United Nations ambassador and congressman at 7:30 pm at Roger Williams University’s recreation center as part of inauguration week ceremonies; a reception with him follows.

The Barrington meets at 7:30 pm in the harbormaster’s office in the public safety building at 100 Federal Road.

“,” a 16-week video study course for men, starts at 6 am at the Bayside Family YMCA.
