Affordable Housing, Special Ed Information Sessions

Here are 5 things you should know about in Barrington today:

  1. The Barrington/Warren Rotary Club meets at the Wharf Tavern on Water Street in Warren at 6:30 pm. The District governor's visit has been rescheduled for this week.
  2. East Bay Community Development Corporation, the developer of the proposed Palmer Pointe affordable housing complex at Sowams Nursery, is hosting a public session in the Barrington library at 7:30 pm to show a rendering of the development and answer questions about the project.
  3. The Barrington Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) is hosting an information session by the Circle of Friends Club at Barrington High School; a general meeting begins at 7 pm, and several youth member will make presentations and answer questions at 7:30 pm.
  4. Take in a movie at the Barrington Senior Center at 12:30 pm every Tuesday.
  5. Rhythm Quest Percussion meets at 6 pm at Reynolds School, 235 High St., Bristol. The youth-based percussion ensemble is open to any child in Rhode Island ages 11 to 18 who wants to learn, play and perform within the community.
