Rhode Island vendors Glee Gum, D. A. Metals and Shore Soap Among Local Vendors Helping Rhode Island and New England Schools Raise Money

Rhode Island vendors are partnering with Close Buy Catalog to help PTOs, PTAs and students in Rhode Island and throughout New England raise money for their schools.  Here’s a sampling of some of the Rhode Island companies Close Buy is working with this year for their 5th annual local goods fall fundraising catalog.

Providence based Glee Gum’s sustainably harvested and eco-friendly products are a perfect fit for the Close Buy Catalog.   Featured this year are fun and healthy make your own candy kits (chocolate, gummy bear, chewing gum).

Glee Gum’s Molly Lederer looks forward to partnering with Close Buy.  “We are excited to participate in the upcoming Close Buy Catalog. And we look forward to joining a community of innovative vendors (and New England neighbors!) helping students to raise money for their schools.  Our candy-making kits are designed to be educational— to captivate kids’ interest, connect them to the global community, and create something yummy to eat in the process”

Pawtucket artist and jeweler Devienna Anggraini has been creating beautifully designed, one-of-a-kind jewelry since 2007.  Her distinctive work is sure to be a hit, and she is excited about participating in Close Buy this fall.  “We are very excited to be a part of Close Buy Catalog this year. We absolutely love the concept of using locally made products to raise money for schools.”

Anggraini continues, “We think that a great school has not only outstanding education, but most importantly, a strong community for the kids to grow in.  Close Buy Catalog will be a great tool to encourage kids to be more engaged in their communities. We are glad to be a part of it!”

Shore Soap will also be joining the ranks as a Close Buy vendor for this fall.  In 2013, Rhode Island Monthly lauded Shore Soap a Best of Rhode Island award for “Soap for Seafarers”.  Based in Newport, Shore Soap creates handcrafted soaps using quality, natural ingredients.

Jake Kopper, co-founder and co-owner of Shore Soaps states, “We're thrilled to work with Close Buy this year.  We love the concept of a catalog of curated local products helping kids raise money for their schools in Rhode Island and the rest of New England.”

Close Buy is delighted to have the enthusiasm and support of these outstanding Rhode Island vendors, and artisans and businesses from throughout New England to help schools and the local economy.

As Glee Gum’s Lederer sums up, “We hope these sweet treats also lead to sweet fundraising success!”
