What's Open, Closed in Barrington?

It’s New Year’s Day. You can still do some shopping and find your favorite coffee and pastries in Barrington. You can do that tomorrow, Jan. 2, as well, the official observance of the first day of the new year.

In fact, if you stayed up all night after a New Year’s Eve party or got up very early today, you could have received a dozen doughnuts for free at Dunkin’ Donuts. Every Dunkin’ Donuts in the world is giving out a dozen free doughnuts to their first 20 customers today.

Don’t expect to conduct any town business or mail a letter. Today is Sunday, of course. Monday is a holiday, too.

So, Barrington Town Hall is closed all day tomorrow, Jan. 2. So is the public library and the Senior Center in the lower level of the library, and the post office.

You’ll have to wait until Tuesday, Jan. 3, to mail a bill or send a thank you card for that Christmas gift from Aunt Peggy.

You can get your favorite brew and pastry today and tomorrow. And you can fill up your tank with gas. You don’t really have to look too hard to find a place to eat out as well.
