Take a stroll in Barrington on Oct. 13 – the first “Harvest Stroll.”
The Barrington Business Association is hosting a mid-day festival in and around town center.
From noon to 4 pm, you will get to sample what many merchants have to offer with plenty of activities at each shop and store, said Holly Smith of Hollies on the Avenue, the co-president of the BBA.
The merchants also are partnering with the Barrington Recreation Department, which plans to hold it’s annual pumpkin-carving festival on the same day.
Plans for the festival were firmed up at the association’s meeting at Chiazza Trattoria & Bar on Tuesday evening, Sept. 11.
Food trucks will be parked at stores around town, said Smith, and perhaps near the Town Hall.
Children will carve the pumpkins at Kids Kove Playground.
A hayride will carry children and adults to the merchants, who plan to have their own fun activities, Smith said.
There is also the possibility of a haunted house inside the Senior Center, Smith said.
