Ch'i Spa Opening in Barrington Soon

The spa and salon is being located in Prince's Hill Place in the former spot of Prestige Dry Cleaners.

A Ch’i Spa eyelash boutique, blowout bar and full-service spa and salon opens in Barrington soon.

The grand opening is Sept. 22 in the Prince’s Hill Place at 338 County Road, the former location of Prestige Dry Cleaners.

“But we’ll be transitioning many of our clients to the location before that date,” said Samantha Vong, the owner. “We have a lot of clients already in Barrington, as well as in Fall River and Swansea.”

The new shop will be her third in Rhode Island. Vong operates Chi’i Spa locations in the Pier Market Place in Narragansett and on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence.

The business will provide training for eyelash extensions, as well, Vong said, making it two businesses in one.

Vong selected Barrington over several other potential locations in Cranston and on the East Side of Providence. Key selling points were the clients already in town and her landlord, Robert Andreozzi, who owns Prince’s Hill Place, she said.

He has been very accommodating to her needs during a renovation of the former dry cleaning space, she said.

“We were very impressed with him,” Vong said. “We have landlords like him in our other locations. They are great to work with."

The grand opening will include a ribbon cutting, refreshments and promotions. Her grand-opening flyer, for instance, indicates that blowouts will be 40 percent off and other salon services will be 20 percent off.
