Four other Barrington businesses besides Billy’s restaurant, which was selected for its burgers, were named “Best Of” by Rhode Island Monthly at its annual awards ceremony last week at the Providence Performing Arts Center.
Daisy Dig’ins on Maple Avenue was named the best gift store in the East Bay for a second consecutive year.
Barrington Books in the Barrington Shopping Plaza was named again as the best independent bookstore.

Vienna Bakery was named the best bakery.
And Grapes and Grains was selected as the best wine shop in the East Bay for the second year in a row.

The stores were selected by voters during voting in the month of April. Proprietors of each store were then treated to a night out by RI Monthly at a gala awards ceremony at PPAC last Thursday, July 25.
