BAYSIDE STINGRAYS SWIM TEAM OFF TO A FAST START
The Bayside Stingrays swim team was victorious in their first dual meet of the season. In a November 9 meet against the Newport YMCA Wahoos, the Stingrays won with a final score of Bayside 383 – Newport 267. Many swimmers showed significant drops in time from last year, most notably Eva Dupre and Samantha Proulx-Whitcomb, both dropping 11 seconds in the 200 free, and Kevin Lethbridge, who dropped 12 seconds in the 200 free. Thomas Henderson dropped 16 seconds in the 100 IM, Ellie Wind and Stella Alexandre both dropped 15 seconds and 34 seconds respectively in the 200 IM. Lindsey Turgeon dropped 28 seconds in the 100 free, while Marta Matzko, Annie Nadich and Garrett Johns all dropped more than 10 seconds in that same event. Jordan Borge and Jeffrey Tran dropped 5 seconds in the 50 fly and 100 fly respectively. Other notable swims were Ingrid Kenyon, Ben McDermott, Harry Martin, and Ethan O’Connor.
