Listen to Big Band Sounds by Bay

Third free Barrington summer concert takes place Saturday evening at Tillinghast Farm on Nayatt Road with Narragansett Bay as a backdrop.

The Nightlife Orchestra continues Barrington’s free Summer Concert Series on Saturday evening with a performance by Narragansett Bay.

Tillinghast Farm on Nayatt Road, the local campus of the Rhode Island School of Design, hosts the third presentation of the series starting at 6:30 pm. Bring your own chairs or blankets.

"The Nightlife Orchestra is one of the few remaining active big bands in the state of Rhode Island," according to its website. "Since its formation in 1988, the band has performed for crowds of all ages and sizes all over Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut and has performed for two serving U.S. presidents. Nightlife brings you the sounds of the big band era through modern jazz and rock."
