Irish Film Series Continues Friday

View 'The Quiet Man," a John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara film at 2 pm in the Barrington library auditorium.

Celebrate being Irish again this Friday at 2 pm with the second film in a free matinee series at Barrington library titled: “Erin Go Bragh: Movies Set in Ireland.”

Librarian Doug Swiszcz, a movie buff, leads the series, which runs on four Fridays in March. This Friday's film is "The Quiet Man."

The 1952 movie stars John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Wayne is an American boxer who returns to Ireland to forget his past. He soon falls for the fiery sister of a brutish neighbor.
