A homegrown music festival returns to Haines Memorial State Park in Barrington and Riverside in three weeks.
The third annual Fiddle ‘n Folk Fest is on tap – as in foot-tapping and hand-clapping. It will run from noon to 6 pm on Sunday, Sept. 15.
The free festival is being organized by the Local Brew Coffeehouse crew of Barrington. But it features a lineup of musicians from throughout southern New England.
This year’s musicians include:
- Bob Drouin & Rich Horwitz
- KC Moaners
- Janos Perge
- Bluegrass Invitation Band
- French Roast with Michelle, Alan, and Rachel
- Andy Grover
- Hollow Turtle
- Sunday Night Jammers
- Emmalee Holmes-Hicks with Rachel Panitch
- Old Fiddlers Club
- Bay Spring Folk
There also will be fiddle workshops from 10 to 11 am (Cajun Fiddle by Michelle Kaminsky) and 11 am to noon (Improvisation Games by Rachel Panitch). You can sign up for these workshops at email@example.com.
And there will be craft vendors, food trucks, and kids activities to keep everyone very occupied.
The event is free with the sponsorship of the RI State Council on the Arts, Wildflour Vegan Bakery, Barrington Public Library, The BAY Team, Bay Spring Community Center, Barrington Parks and Recreation Department, and RI Department of Environmental Management.
