It’s a three-day weekend, remember. Veterans’ Day is celebrated on Monday, Nov. 12. No school.

All the proceeds from the concert will go to The BAY Team, Barrington’s substance abuse prevention coalition, for programs that keep kids off drugs and alcohol, said Will Orchard, an organizer.

The cost is $5 at the door. The Democratic Club, located at 186 Roffee St, has become a home for these events. Previously, the club hosted "Demofest" and "Demopalooza." Both gave young bands some exposure beyond house parties and festivals.

The concert is being organized by a group of sophomores and freshmen at Barrington High School who perform in their own bands. They will share their music on Sunday evening to anyone who wants to listen and have a good time.

The bands scheduled to perform are Llama Sanchez, Diatribe, and The Sarcasm Association. Also, a duet, Annie Hutchinson and Teddy Kurkoski, will perform, said Orchard.
