The Bay Spring Community Center in West Barrington hosts another Local Brew Coffeehouse Saturday night, June 23.
The show starts at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm.
Headling the show is Chris Monti, a writer, singer, songwriter, musician and bandleader who will perform solo on Saturday night. He sings and plays acoustic and electric guitar: fingerpicking, flatpicking and playing slide. He also plays harmonica, clawhammer-banjo, bass, kazoo, dobro, lap steel and a little bit of mandolin and piano, according to his website.
Monti performs solo, singing and playing acoustic guitar and rack-harmonica, and leads both acoustic and electric bands that perform his original music, according to his website. He has released three records Home, Locust Grove, and Swampland Flowers on CMO Records. Chris has performed from New England down to Florida and in Alaska and Washington State.
Tickets are $5 each. Children under 12 can attend for free.
Performing with Monti will be Seamus & Ellie, an acoustic duo; another duo, Johnstone and Walcott, and Katherine Quinn and Gary Deslaurier of Bay Spring Folk.
Volunteer crew members also are needed to set up the show. Email Larson Gunness for more information.
The address of the community center is 170 Narragansett Ave. – the old fire station building. You can park at Atria Bay Spring Village on the corner of Bay Spring Avenue. The walk is only a block south to the community center.
