You're Invited to Veterans Day Ceremony

The Barrington United Veterans Council to host Veterans Day ceremony again on Monday, Nov. 11.

The United Veterans Council of Barrington invites you to the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Honor Roll and the Veterans' Memorial at Town Hall on Monday, Nov. 11. It starts at 11 am.

Veterans will gather first at the Honor Roll in front of Town Hall on County Road to lay a wreath. 

The 11 am ceremony will then take place at the memorial with its recently complete Memorial Wall. Town officials and other dignitaries have been invited to participate.

Another wreath will be laid at the new wall by Louis Codega and Bert Stanzione. 

Temple Habonim Rabbi Andrew Klein will provide a blessing. Paul Dulchinos, a member of the veterans council, will offer remarks. Refreshments will be served in the Town Hall after the ceremony.

Veterans Day dates back to World War I, which ended in 1918 on Armistice Day at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

The Veterans Council hopes for a large turnout. The Honor Roll pays tribute to veterans of Barrington. The memorial recognizes all veterans.
