Soccer Shoot Out Benefits Homeless

The second annual Soccer Shoot Out for boys and girls in the East Bay will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13, in Barrington to benefit the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless.

Who has the best soccer shot on goal in the East Bay?

The second annual Soccer Shoot Out on Saturday, Oct. 13, could answer that question. It runs from 8 am to 2 pm at three fields in Barrington.

The event benefits the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless. Boys and girls from U4 to U14 can register that day at one of the fields: Chianese Memorial Park,  St. Andrews School or Middle Highway.

Each child takes three kids into a medium-sized unattended goal with the distance based on age group with their regulation size ball. The best out of 5 scoring goals are tallied and winners will be announced from each of the groups.

The East Bay Coalition for the Homeless is a program of East Bay Community Action and offers homeless prevention, housing and vital support services to families faced with homelessness.
