Schools Closed; Pet Halloween Party; Assisted Living Costs

Hazardous weather caused by Hurricane Sandy could postpone all events scheduled for Barrington today, Oct. 29.

The events listed here are all scheduled weather permitting:

Barrington's public schools are closed today.

The Barrington Veterinary Clinic on Waseca Avenue holds a Halloween party for your dog or cat at 6:30 pm. Treat bags will be handed out; dress up your pet and get a professional portrait taken with part of the proceeds going to shelters.

The Barrington library hosts a 4 pm talk on the costs of assisted living, what is covered, and what benefits are out there to help with your care.
