Hear Vocal Concert; Learn Some History

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington, including a presentation on recommendations to control erosion at Latham Park in Bay Spring.

 

The Barrington High School Music Department presents its Winter Vocal Concert at 7:30 pm in the auditorium. It features the Concert Choir and Choral Ensemble singing seasonal selections as well as the Brass Ensemble, The Ukeladies, a violin solo, and the BHS Women's Ensemble.

EA Engineering, Science and Technology presents its recommendations for erosion-control at Latham Park at the Bay Spring Community Center at 5:30 pm.

Learn all about manufacturers in pre-Civil War Barrington in the library auditorium at 7 pm. The session by Roger Williams University archival-research students is titled “People in Place: Manufacturing Households in Antebellum Barrington, RI (1820-1860).”

Each day until the end of December, Barrington Veterinary Clinic, 260 Waseca Ave., is collecting donations of food for the RI Food Bank in a “4 Paws for A Cause” campaign; you get a free nail trim for your pet with a donation.

Rhythm Quest Percussion meets at 6 pm at Reynolds School, 235 High St., Bristol. The youth-based percussion ensemble is open to any child in Rhode Island ages 11 to 18 who wants to learn, play and perform within the community.
