Busy March on Tap for Barrington Senior Center

The latest issue of the Barrington Senior Center newsletter is hot off the press.

Here's a roundup of some of what's happening in March:

  • There is no dance music on Wed. March 19. The band will be back on March 26.
  • A five week computer class taught by Joan Allen runs from March 3 to March 31 and the cost is $25. Learn how to use a computer and the Internet as well as e-mail. You'll learn it's easy to keep in touch with family and friends.
  • Judy Keely is back for painting class. It runs from March 11 to May 27th. Payment of $35 is due at first class.
  • Journey's with Sally:
"Yes, it is almost too good to be true—a rare opportunity to experience a formal tea in the opulent setting of an eighteenth century mansion.

Please join us as we travel to the celebrated John Brown House Museum.

Guests will receive a personally guided tour highlighting the exquisite china and tea set collections. Afterwards, participants will savor the colonial ambiance while enjoy- ing a delightful afternoon tea. And, who knows, perhaps Esquire John Brown will pay us a visit."

It's Tuesday March 27 at 12:30 and the cost is $22. That includes tour with tea.
  • Healthy Cooking Demonstration on March 20 at 10:45 a.m. features Chef Kevin from Atria Bay Spring Village. He'll share a recipe for a healthy appetizer with a demonstration that will end with a tasty sampling.
