Stop signs are not optional, but they're sometimes treated as if they are. And we're always supposed to stop at a red light before making a right turn.
There are scores of stop signs in Barrington. And a bunch of intersections with lights. Some signs are overlooked, especially when drivers are in a rush. And some drivers roll right through when making a right turn on red.
Many of us would probably admit to rolling through stop signs at one time or another. Or simply rolling through a red light when making a right turn. Does the intersection of County Road and Maple Avenue come to mind?
