5 Things to Know About Today

Sunny and sizzling; HealthSource RI session; 'Pirates of Penzance' at St. Andrew's; story time and story hour.

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

  1. Sunny and very warm with a high temperature of around 95 degrees.
  2. The Bayside YMCA at the end of West Street hosts an evening session about HealthSource RI, the new one-stop marketplace for Rhode Islanders to find, compare and purchase affordable health insurance plans. It runs from 6:30-7:30pm.
  3. The ACTSA Ensemble at St. Andrew’s School on Federal Road, the student theater group, performs “The Pirates of Penzance Junior” at 7 pm in the McCulloch Center for the Arts.
  4. Barrington library also hosts a multi-age story time at 6:30 pm that includes finger rhymes, songs, stories and a short film appropriate for young children. Registration is not required.  
  5. Barrington Books, 184 County Road, hosts a story hour for children every Thursday at 10 am.
