5 Things to Know About Today

Warm, rainy; summer family film series; Rotary Club meets; get museum passes at library; Conservation Commission meets.

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

  1. Mostly cloudy in the morning with scattered thunderstorms developing later in the day and a high temperature of 83 degrees.
  2. The Summer Family Film Series: I Love the ‘90s debuts in the Barrington library auditorium at 7 pm with "The Sandlot," a 1993 film set in the summer of 1962.
  3. The Barrington/Warren Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the Wharf Tavern, 215 Water St., Warren. 
  4. Have you discovered the 16 different museum passes available at the library for some summer fun, such as the Providence Children’s Museum, the Roger Williams Park Zoo, Mystic Seaport and the RISD Museum of Art; all are sponsored by the Friends of the Barrington Public Library.
  5. The Barrington Conservation Commission meets at 7:30 pm in the School Committee Meeting Room in the Town Hall.
