5 Things to Know About This Week

Barrington Town Council holds Monday meeting; Townwide Trails Team to improve Veterans Memorial Park, free family fun day at Audubon center, farmers' market, and public clambake.

Here are five things you should know about this week in Barrington.

  1. The Barrington Town Council meets on Monday, Oct. 1, at 7 pm in the Council Chamber in Town Hall for its monthly meeting.
  2. The Barrington School Committee meets on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 pm in the board's meeting room in the Town Hall.
  3. Barrington’s new Townwide Trails Team gets to work on its first project in Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 to 11 am; the team is looking for volunteers to improve a trail.
  4. Another free family fun day takes place at the Audubon Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope St., Bristol, on Saturday, Oct. 6.
  5. Bristol County Elks Lodge #1860 hosts an old-fashioned New England clambake on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 1 Constitution St. in Bristol. It starts at 1:30 pm; $28 donation per person.
