MEASURE UP, PRESSURE DOWN

The Barrington Fire Department will be holding an event called "Measure Up, Pressure Down" on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 0830 to 1130. "Measure Up, Pressure Down" is part of a national movement from the American Medical Group Foundation to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy blood pressure. Fire department personnel will be on hand for blood pressure checks and offer a host of information on keeping your blood pressure in check. Barrington was asked to participate in the awareness program by the RI Department of Health and EMS Workgroup Chairman (and East Providence Fire EMS Director) John Potvin.  This event fits perfectly with the HEARTSafe Community status the Town currently holds.

Anyone wishing to have their blood pressure checked and to obtain information on maintaining a healthy blood pressure is welcome to stop by the Barrington Public Safety Building at 100 Federal Road anytime during the event, no appointment needed. Limited parking is available in the front of the building in the marked areas and in the rear parking lot of the building.
