New hires expand firm’s digital team capabilities

Providence, R.I. (July 25, 2014) – To meet the growing digital needs of its client partners, Providence-based multidisciplinary brand culture and communications firm (add)ventures is expanding its digital/interactive team with the addition of three “(add)venturists.” Michael Kilmer of Worcester, Mass., joins as manager of engineering/digital. Carmela MacKnight joins as manager of interactive/quality and Kara Cabassa joins as specialist of digital/strategy; both live in Barrington.

In his role as manager of engineering/digital, Kilmer is a front-end web developer, working to translate digital design files to fully functioning, pixel-perfect websites. Kilmer has previous front-end developer experience working for Boston based health and wellness company NutraClick and an ad agency in Worcester, Mass. Kilmer holds a bachelor’s degree in visual design from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. With his diverse experience, Kilmer will ensure that finished digital products are consistent with client-approved designs.

As manager of interactive/quality, MacKnight is responsible for maximizing and enhancing best practices within the digital marketing project portfolio. She brings 15 years of IT related project management experience to (add)ventures, along with certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)®. Previously, she managed multi-million dollar projects at GTECH Corporation and oversaw multiple projects at RBS Citizens. MacKnight graduated from Rhode Island College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary/middle school education.

In her role as specialist of digital/strategy, Cabassa develops website templates and contributes content that will enhance the social media initiatives of the firm. Prior to joining (add)ventures, Cabassa worked on the L’Oreal account at Publicis Consultants Net Intelligenz in Paris, where she supported the digital and editorial teams. She previously held marketing and public relations positions with Sotheby’s International Realty, World Association of Newspapers and Publishers, and Comptoir de Famille. Cabassa holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree in global communications with a focus in branding and advertising from the American University of Paris.
