YA novelist Jennifer Armentrout, who will be signing at Barrington Books TONIGHT from 6:30-8pm in a stop on her Deity Tour.

There are no fans quite as dedicated and exuberant in the kid-litosphere as the paranormal romance readers!

They read voraciously, blog enthusiastically, review passionately, and await anxiously the coming installments of their favorite series.

And if you think this is just fluff stuff — think again. Spend a few minutes on the YA blogs and you’ll see that fans of the genre are tough critics. They expect tightly plotted stories, well-rounded characters, action, adventure, and yes… some smooching, too.

YA novelist Jennifer Armentrout, who will be signing at Barrington Books TONIGHT from 6:30-8pm in a stop on her Deity Tour, knows a thing or two about pleasing this audience. Armentrout is the author of the Covenant and Lux series. Deity, which USA TODAY called ”emotional and action packed,” is the the latest novel in the Covenant series.

The series features an amalgam of many popular elements in paranormal romance today–there are vampires, demigods, and an angsty  love triangle. But the author’s ability to take familiar themes and make them uniquely her own–with  feisty heroines and surprising plot twists–has made her a USA TODAY bestselling author, and gained her a legion of dedicated readers and fans.

Jennifer will greet fans, sign books and read from her novel this evening (11/8) at Barrington Books (184 County Road in Barrington) from 6:30-8pm.

Ms. Armentrout lives in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She writes young adult paranormal, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance. She also writes adult romance under the name J. Lynn. To learn more about her books, visit her website.
