Football Playoff Game; Singing at State House; 'Savory Storytime'

Here are some things you may want to know about today, Dec. 3, in and around Barrington:

  • Mostly cloudy with a high temperature near 46 degrees.
  • Barrington High School battles Cranston East High in a semifinal game of the RI Interscholastic League football playoffs at 6 pm at Victory Field. The Eagles are the #1 seed; Cranston East is the #4 seed.
  • The third-grade chorus at Primrose Hill Elementary School sings in the RI State House at 9:30 am as part of the annual RI State Council of the Arts month-long musical celebration of the holidays.
  • The children’s department at the Barrington library hosts a free “Savory Storytime” at 10 am to celebrate winter's nesting traditions with stories, songs, crafts and an age-appropriate film all about yummy winter treats. For ages 3 and older with an adult. Registration required to attend. 
  • The Planning Board meets at 7 pm in the School Committee Meeting Room in Town Hall.
