A 1 pm matinee showing of the Alfred Hitchcock classic, Psycho, opens the “Things That Go Bump
in the Night” October film series at the Barrington library auditorium, with
pre-film commentary by technical library and cinema buff Doug Swiszcz.
The Ocean State Small Business Expo takes place
at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick from 11 am to 7 pm. Titled “Business to
Business,” the expo features more than 100 exhibitors, educational workshops
designed to help small businesses grow and a Business-After-Hours cocktail
reception to end the day. Admission is free with a business card.
The annual “Pumpkin Junction” has opened on the front lawn of St. John’s
Episcopal Church on County Road; it runs daily from noon to 6 pm with pumpkins for sale in all sizes and shapes.
