Music for Young Children, Lots of High School Sports on Tap

Here are some things to know about in Barrington if you love high school sports and music.

Here are some things to know about today, Sept. 20, in Barrington:

Sunny skies with temperatures reaching into the high 70s will make for another beautiful late summer day.

Join RI Philharmonic Music School instructor Jane Revkin for a special Music Together® class, "Bringing Harmony Home," for babies, toddlers and young children up to age 6. It starts at 10 am in the Barrington library. Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for kids.  You must register for this program.

The Barrington High School football squad travels to Cranston Stadium to battle Cranston West High School at 7 pm.

The Barrington High boys’ soccer team also hits the road for a match against Cumberland High School at 4 pm.

Meanwhile, the BHS girls’ soccer team takes over Victory Field for a match against South Kingstown at 6 pm.

The girls’ volleyball team also stays home for a match against Lincoln High at 6 pm.

The girls’ tennis team trades ground strokes at 4 pm with the girls from Wheeler School at the courts on Lincoln Avenue.
