Library Elevator Getting Upgrade; RWU Chorus Sings; Boards Meet

Here are some things to know about today, Dec. 11, in and around Barrington: 

Work on upgrading the 30-year-old elevator in the Barrington Public Library is scheduled to begin within the next few days. That work will put the elevator out of service, so access to the second floor will be by stairs only. State law prohibits institutions from hosting public programs and meetings without full accessibility. Call ahead at 401-247-1920 before attending any upcoming events and meetings at the Library.

The Roger Williams University Chorus, a musical ensemble consisting of students and faculty members, will present a free concert at 7:30 pm. The seasonal repertoire will range from the great composers to contemporary holiday favorites at the RWU Performing Arts Center, 1 Old Ferry Road, Bristol.

The Barrington Board of Assessment meets at 9 am in the School Committee Meeting Room in Town Hall.

The Barrington Cemetery Commission meets is scheduled to meet at 3 pm in the Barrington library meeting room.
