Expect Strong Thunderstorms Across Area
National Weather Service sends out an alert on heavy weather rolling through the Narragansett Bay area.
Strong thunderstorms are expected to hit the Narragansett Bay area and southeast Massachusetts through this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
A strong thunderstorm was spotted around 10 am near North Kingstown, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Brief downpours and wind gusts, reaching 30 mph, can be expected. Minor flooding is also possible.
The thunderstorms are expected to hit Bristol, Barrington, East Greenwich, Warren, Swansea, Tiverton, Westport, Portsmouth and Prudence Island.
