Save The Bay's popular Beach Slam returns to Barrington's Tillinghast Farm this September. Enjoy a day of free beach activities, including flyfishing courtesy of L.L.Bean and kayaking and paddleboarding with REI. This family fun event also includes live entertainment, great food, rock climbing, and more. Mark your calendars now for this awesome day at the Beach! Admission is free. More About Tillinghast Farm - RISD
This is a satellite campus of Rhode Island School of Design located in the picturesque Nayatt Road section of town. Located on land donated by the Tillinghast family, the site is also known as the Tillinghast Estate and by some locals as RISD Beach. Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), a world renowned school of art, architecture and design uses the site for continuing education for adults and youth. A variety of classes in various forms of the arts are offered. RISD has also made the land available for use by the Barrington Recreation Department, as a benefit to alumni, staff, and faculty as well as for weddings.
