Aquidneck Island Land Trust has recently begun a Trail Keepers program to help maintain the trails year round. Keepers include schools, neighbors and businesses. We’d like to consider this model for maintaining trails thorughout Barrington.
Even if you can not attend on this day, please consider trying this trail at a time convenient to your schedule!
We have been advised that trail conditions may be wet, so boots are advisable. Also, Saturday’s weather is predicted to be the final day of the cold snap – please layer up!

More About Barrington Land Conservation Trust
The Barrington Land Conservation Trust is a private, nonprofit organization that works to preserve the town's remaining natural resources and adjacent areas, such as streams, ponds, marshlands, woodlands and other scenic and natural sites. It preserves the land through acquisitions, either by donation or easement; advocacy, and educational programs, such as family walks on trails in larger sites. More than 250 acres of land on 69 properties have been preserved for passive and active recreational use by Barrington's residents. A governing board meets in public five times a year at the Barrington library. There is an annual public meeting each June in the same location. The Land Trust works closely with town officials and the Barrington Conservation Commission.
