Celebrate the release of Bay Spring Folk's first CD, "Get Yours," at the Local Brew Coffeehouse in Barrington on December 1. Bay Spring Folk recently was a finalist in the Providence Local Band Showcase at Roots Cultural Center. They play "eclectic folk" which includes traditional songs as well as originals. Come hear the fiddle, electric guitar, bass, guitars, mandolin, weissenborn, egg, harmonica, and recorder, with lots of vocals throughout. Coffee, homemade pastries, and CDs will be for sale. Email sydney_mike@fullchannel.net to reserve tickets. Cost is $5, with kids 12 and under free. Park at Atria and walk one block south to the Community Center.

The Bay Spring Community Center is a meeting and gathering place for Barrington community members and is owned by the Town of Barrington. The Center's mission is to foster community spirit and to engage and enrich Bay Spring and surrounding areas by bringing neighbors together through a variety of social, artistic, cultural and educational activities. Dave Parkhurst is the president of the Friends of the Bay Spring Community Center.
