Annual Soccer Shootout & Benefit returns to Barrington Saturday, October
13th
We are looking for the best shot in the
East Bay! The 2nd annual Soccer Shoot Out benefitting the East
Bay Coalition for the Homeless will take place on Saturday, October, 13th
from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Youth can
register that day at one of the following fields: Chianese,
St. Andrews or Middle Highway. The registration fee is $5.00.
We
are looking for the best goal kicker in the East Bay! The competition will be by age group with
awards for each group. All tie breakers
will be held the same day at 2:00 PM. Winners in each category will be awarded
the trophies at a reception later in the month.
Boys and Girls from any town U4-U14 are eligible. Athletes pay $5 registration fee, and take 3 Kicks into a
medium-sized unattended Goal Net with distance based on age group with their
regulation size ball. Kicks can be taken before, during, and after all games
scheduled. The best out of 5 scoring goals are tallied and winners will be
announced from each of the groups.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the East Bay
Coalition for the Homeless. The East Bay Coalition for the Homeless is a
program of East Bay Community Action and offers homeless prevention, housing
and vital support services to families faced with homelessness.

More About F. J. Chianese Memorial Park
The 15-acre park includes hard courts and grass fields for tennis, basketball, hockey, baseball and soccer. A small playground is popular with neighborhood children. Restrooms are open in season. There is a gravel lot off of Centennial Avenue with parking for several dozen cars.
