Barrington's undefeated girls' basketball team won its sixth consecutive game Thursday evening, 70-55, over Portsmouth in the annual boosters' holiday tournament at the high school. The boys bounced back from a loss the previous night to cruise past crosstown-rival Mt. Hope, 67-31, in the tournament finale to improve their record to 4-5 on the season. The Thursday games closed out a tournament that featured six boys' and six girls' teams playing a game each day. The Barrington games drew several hundred fans to the gymnasium Thursday night. Barrington High School's unbeaten girls' basketball team romped to a win in the final game of the first day of the annual boosters' holiday tournament on Wednesday night. Barrington's boys' team dropped a hard-fought game just before the girls took the floor in the high school gymnasium. The games capped off a day of six basketball games in about nine hours.  Six more games will be played Thursday beginning at 12:30 pm.
