I am delighted to see the Town once again encourage "family gardening". Many years ago,Read Morew hen my children were young, we had a plot at the "Family Farm" as it was called then. The lots were on the east side of Rt,114 as you travel north. At first we had to supply our own water when the rainfall fell short. I remember we would fill plastic barrels and drive (very carefully) from my home on Fireside Dr. to our plot and then very carefully distribute it over the "growing rows". Fortunately I had a station wagon with a tail gate to hold the barrels. To this day my kids talk about the days we spent at the Family Farm and the fun of picking beans and tomatoes, beets and radishes and digging potatoes. Of course they also complained about the weeding !! Good luck on this current venture and may all of you who enjoy working in the earth, have a bountiful harvest!

I am so happy to see some people in Town finally see the truths about the Town Council. We haveRead Morethre e members of the Council who vote as one, on everything. Like robots !! I have been fighting for Senior housing which has fallen on deaf ears because of personal agenda - now we see another case of "we don't want to talk about it", or "we will let you talk, but we will do what we want" regardless of the feelings of the residents of OUR Town. It has become THEIR Town - Too late to vote them out --- but just remember, if you see one of those names on any ballot -- cross it off! Don't make the same mistake again.

First, I personally like the entire Speakman family. Barrington used to vote for concretiveRead Morecandidat es and the town prospered became the best place in RI to live. Barbara is correct. If the issue is not subsidized housing or any other new social justice issue you seem to just ignore the will of the people. I personally like you June but your policy's and the way you bully the council meetings IMO is wrong. It's time for the people of RI not to vote D or R but vote conservative.

Council members like Ms. Speakman make me glad I moved out of Barrington.
