On the final night of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, former Governor Mitt Romney accepted the GOP's bid for President of the United States.
Once President Obama accepts his party's nomination next week, the two candidates will have about 65 days until Election Night in November.
Despite many predictions that there would be a small letdown after Vice Presidential pick Paul Ryan's speech the previous night, Gov. Romney's 40-minute speech was both dynamic and straightforward. I was sitting next to two trained and highly critical speech writers who both said this was his best speech to date.
The trip to the National Convention was an absolute blast. We had the opportunity to meet people from all across the nation and you come to realize that the Republican Party is different in every state.
This week was about creating cohesion in the party, and outside of a small group of Ron Paul supporters, members of the GOP from every state came together to support the Presidential ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
I have to run and catch a flight back to Providence! Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend,
