You Pick: Best Valentine Dinner Spot in Barrington

Tell us your favorite local spot for a romantic Valentine's Day meal in Barrington tomorrow evening.

Valentine's Day is Tuesday, and for many of us who are coupled up, it means we'll be enjoying a romantic dinner at a favorite restaurant.

But which restaurant do you think is best? Is it Chiazza Trattoria and Bar? Perhaps it's Tong D Fine Thai Cuisine on Bosworth Street, or the Tyler Point Grille on Barton Avenue, or Billy's Restaurant in the Maple Avenue plaza. How about Madigan's Cafe and Wine Bar on County Road?

We want to hear your thoughts on which local restaurant is best for a special Valentine's night meal.

Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite restaurant off the list, note that in the comments as well.

We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting at 9 a.m. Friday. At noon that day, we'll share your top local pick. Then be sure to watch the site over the weekend when we tally up the top votes and announce the restaurant that got the most rave reviews across all of our Rhode Island sites.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Tyler Point or Billy's...a toss up, but Tyler Point's MEALS are more realistically priced.

I prefer a toss off, but the only place in town that does it properly is Chiazza.

http://barrington.patch.com/listings/madigans-cafe-and-wine-bar - is by far the best restaurant on County Rd in Barrington. The ambience, decorum, and food set the tone for what ended up being a Looong night for my wife and I.

I only know Madigans by reputation, but it's fame is so widespread even here in England that my heart is set on visiting in person one day. It will be my first point of call in Barrington. Go Team Madigans.

Madigan's clearly. We had brilliant food, time etc. Long-term partner said Tylers whilst we were eating Valentines at Madigan's so I instigated a trial separation. Two days later - I've ignored her 9 voicemails and pretended to be out while she banged on my front door for about 40 mins. :-)

After a particularly low point in my life, I was dragged out of my bed for the first time in 2 years by the only person, other than my cat, who still spoke to me. They brought me to Madigan's. After that meal, I had found my will to live. Thank you Madigan's...For giving me my life back!

There are 2 moments that I will cherish until I am old and grey. Looking into my newborn son's eyes for the very first time and that first mouthful of food at Madigan's.

In fact I would gladly stuff the little blighter back up from whence he came for another taste of that delightful clam chowder.

I know this isn't a scientific poll, but I'm a scientist and ran extensive scientific tests on all of these restaraunts to see which was the best. No surprises, it was Madigan's. The food was okay at Chiazza, but the whole place is basically built out of asbestos and lead piping, Madigan's knocks them out of the park.

Madigans is where Frank appeared to me for the 1st time. He told me he loved me and wanted to save me. but not before we settled down for a lovely meal and 4 glasses of house red.

A great moment of my life that I have yet to regret.

Madigan's is so classy even the writing on the bathroom stalls is grammatically correct. And very introspective and philosophical.
If Socrates was alive today he'd not only eat at Madigan's....He'd lounge gleefully in the bathroom.

Food is good and you might even bump into a celebrity if you go on an off night. And let's be honest, what night isn't off at Madigans? I thought I bumped into Bill Cosby the first time I went there. Turns out it was just the owner who seems to have a bad taste in sweaters. Plus he's white so that was weird too. Whatever though.. Madigans!
