Tri-Town Councilors Gather Tonight
Town councilors from Barrington, Warren and Bristol get together Wednesday evening for another Tri-Town Meeting on water and other shared municipal services.
Town councilors from Barrington, Warren and Bristol gather in the Barrington Town Hall tonight, Dec. 19, to talk about water and other possible shared municipal services.
The meeting in the Council Chamber starts at 7 pm.
The three towns already operate the Bristol County Water Authority. The often maligned authority’s strategic plan, finance plan and capital plan are expected to dominate conversation at the meeting, which comes on the eve of a public hearing to pitch a 12 percent rate hike for next year and four more years of rate hikes down the road.
But the tri-town agenda also lists an item on “regionalization/shared municipal services.” All three towns have been talking off and on about merging certain services for years.
