Barrington Books, 184 County Road, hosts a weekly story hour at 10:30 am for children ages 2-5 led by children's author and Patch moms council member Anika Denise.
Want to learn more about Rhode Island’s beaches? Attend a lecture, “This Way to the Beach,” by a Wheaton College professor, Dr. Scott Shumway, at the Audubon Society’s Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope St., Bristol, at 7 pm.
Check your blood pressure for free at 10:30 am at the Barrington Senior Center.
2nd Story Theatre presents “NUTS!” at the Old Bristol Statehouse, 240 High St., at 7 pm. It’s a quirky courtroom drama about a call girl who must prove she is sane enough to stand trial for manslaughter.
The Senior Services Advisory Board meets at 7 pm -- where else? -- at the Senior Center.
