Take in a Film; Mark Your Calendar

Senior Center hosts Movie Tuesday; planning board deals with subdivision details; ballet open house and book signing on Wednesday.

The Barrington Planning Board meets at 7 pm in the library trustees room with an agenda that will review draft amendments to the zoning ordinance's subdivision regulations.

Take in a film at Movie Tuesday at the Barrington Senior Center starting at 12:30 pm.

Mark your Wednesday calendar if your children want to take ballet lessons. Ballet Prestige on Waseca Avenue is holding an open house from 4-6 pm.

Also on Wednesday, Aug. 24, Barrington Books offers a 7 pm book signing with author Kelly O’Connor McNees, who wrote “The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott,” which mixes fact and fiction to chronicle a love affair that threatened the “Little Women” author’s career.

Today is the 235th day of the year, which means there are 130 days left in 2011.
