'Deo Gloria!' to Present Christmas Music
The Barrington Presbyterian Church Music Program presents an hour-long Christmas concert on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 9.
Enhance your Christmas season with beautiful music this Sunday.
The Barrington Presbyterian Church Music Program will present a concert,
"Deo Gloria!," on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 9. It starts at 3 pm.
The hour-long concert will include choral, solo and instrumental Christmas pieces composed by a wide range of composers, said John Black, organist and music and choir director.
Old favorites, classical pieces and lesser-known works from composers such as Johann Pachelbel, Henry Purcell and John Rutter will be presented, said Black.
"You'll hear old favorites and learn some new pieces, too," he said. "Admission is free; a freewill offering will be collected to benefit the Music Program."
"The music program has a high standard of excellence," said Black, "and has
presented music at many concerts, including invitational performances at the Newport mansions"
