Barrington’s past as a summer community will be brought back to life Wednesday evening, Aug. 29, in the library auditorium.
The Barrington Preservation Society presents "Summering in Barrington: The Way We Were" – an illustrated talk by Jean MacIntyre, a lifelong resident of Barrington, historian, educator, author, and past president of the Barrington Preservation Society. It starts at 7 pm.
MacIntyre will discuss Barrington’s past as a summer community. She will illustrate her talk with approximately 150 pictures while sharing historical facts and anecdotes, said Carole Villucci, museum director.
The presentation will augment the exhibition, “200 Years of Barrington Summers” currently on view at the Town Museum operated by the Preservation Society.
Admission is free.
