See 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' in Library

Animated feature film by Wes Anderson this afternoon features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Owen Wilson and other stars.

 

Seniors with senioritis are invited to the Monday afternoon film series in the Barrington library auditorium featuring Wes Anderson movies; today’s film, "Fantastic Mr. Fox,” starts at 3:30 pm; it’s based on the book by Roald Dahl and features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, and Jason Schwartzman.

The Recreation Department offers an open gym every Monday at 7:30 pm for basketball players 16 and over, men and women, in the Barrington Middle School.

Play bridge at the Barrington Senior Center at 6:45 pm.

Arts Alive! instructional classes in acting, singing and dance meet at 4:30 pm at Chiselin fitness, 20 Bosworth St.

Barrington's Ad Hoc Taxation/Assessment Advisory Committee meets in the library meeting room at 8:30 am.

Thanks to Patch, I took my two sons to see Fantastic Mr. Fox. I've never been in the auditorium at the library and was impressed. It's a nice little movie theater - just the right size for young children. It was unfortunate, though, that we were the only ones there! People missed out on a fun movie. :)
