Rock 'n Roll Film Series, Tennis Course Debut
Barrington Public Library will show a free film, 'Shine a Light' by Martin Scorsese; the community tennis program in May begins.
A four-film rock ‘n roll movie series debuts at the Barrington Public Library at 7 pm with "Shine a Light," a Martin Scorsese film of the Rolling Stones during their concert for President Bill Clinton's birthday bash at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
A community tennis program that runs every Thursday evening in May starts at 6 pm at the courts at Barrington High School. Tony Cunha, a local tennis professional, will teach the course. You can still register through the Barrington Recreation Department at 247-1925. Cost is $50.
Benefit the Warren Animal Shelter, which treats Barrington animals, by taking Zumba classes at 7 pm at 426 Fitness in Warren.
Get your blood pressure checked at 10:30 am or play Bingo at 1 pm at the Barrington Senior Center.
Barrington Books hosts a children's story hour each Thursday at 10:30 am under the tree for kids ages 2-5. Barrington children's book author Anika Denise leads the story hour in the Barrington Shopping Plaza store.
