Rehearsals Start for Primrose Hill Play

'Alice in Wonderland' is being produced by the Arts Alive! theater program for children at all of Barrington's schools.

Dena Davis, co-director of Barrington's Arts Alive! theater program for children, submitted this update.

"Alice In Wonderland" rehearsals start this Thursday, Oct. 20, from 3 to 4:30 pm at the Primrose Hill School.

This wild and wacky adverture into Wonderland is directed by Claudia Traub, a theatre teacher at both URI and PC - and the new associate director of Arts Alive!

There are 71 children in first to third grade who have been cast in the play. There will be a multitude of crazy characters, lots of memorable music and a few surprises!

Many parents have already come forward as volunteers to help on the play, including some professional artists and musicians!

The play will be performed at Barrington Middle School on Jan. 20 and 21, and will be the first Arts Alive! school play to be produced this year.

It will be followed closely by plays at Nayatt, Sowams and Hampden Meadows school in the spring.
