'Red Flag' on Outdoor Burning
National Weather Service issue warning about strong winds and low humidity.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a red flag warning for Rhode Island from noon to 8 pm today.
A red flag warning is issued when there are predictions of strong winds and low relative humidity. These conditions create the potential for fires to start and spread more rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended at this time.
The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) is monitoring updates from municipalities for reports of any fires.
