Readers' Choice: Talbots for Dress Up
Patch voters select Talbots in the Barrington Shopping Plaza as the place to shop when you want to dress up.
Talbots is the top choice among Barrington readers for buying that perfect outfit for dressing up on Easter or any other Sunday, for that matter.
The popular clothing store in the Barrington Shopping Plaza just off County Road garnered more than 3 out of every 4 votes -- 77 percent -- in the most recent Readers’ Choice Patch poll.
The poll ran this week before ending this morning at 9 am. It asked voters to pick the best spot in Barrington for buying your Sunday best.
Feminine Fancies, celebrating its 30th year in business on Sunday, received 11 percent of the votes cast to finish in second place. Also on the list were Loft, Teddy Bearskins and any other place outside of Barrington.
The smile on the face of the manager of the Barrington Talbots indicated that she was quite pleased voters are so fond of the women's clothing store. Corporate policy mandates, however, that comments must come from the main office of Talbots in Hingham, Mass., she said.
Attempts to reach someone in the public relations department for comment were unsuccesful. Maybe the overwhelming vote for Talbots is enough said. Patch readers definitely favor the store for dressing up.
Review Talbots yourself on the Patch Places page. Then check back Monday for the next poll: Where is the best place to have your taxes done at the last minute?

How many ppl actually replied to the Reader's Poll? I'm in my early 40s and find Talbots to be a bit on the "older" side at times...with only a handful of stores to pick from in Barrington, I'd think The Loft would be more geared towards those in their 30s and 40s.
